There are moments when time doesn't pass, but unfolds. „Staffs of Time“ is such a moment – captured in an image that doesn't depict, but allows you to feel. Created on the Japanese pilgrimage route, amidst the deep tranquility of a bamboo forest, this work invites you to pause and locate yourself within the flow of time.
The vertical lines – sometimes clear, sometimes transparent, sometimes merging in gentle transitions – create a rhythm reminiscent of breathing: a coming and going, an appearing and interweaving. The pastel tones of green, beige, delicate violet, and grey open a space of silence, which is not empty but filled with fine resonance. It is a work that creates presence without demanding – and that invites you to consciously experience the moment.
Do you think true guidance can emerge without you opening yourself up to change?
„Staffs of Time“ reminds you that movement and rest are not opposites, but part of the same moment. It is art for people who value mindfulness and recognise beauty in the ephemeral – not as loss, but as an expression of vitality.
„Staffs of Time“ is part of the series „Between Light and Silence“ – a photographic meditation, created on the Japanese pilgrimage route. The series transforms movement, sound, and light into visual compositions that touch you beyond language and time. It invites you to understand yourself as part of a larger rhythm – connected to nature, to the moment, to your own inner attitude.
While the series as a whole explores the contrast between order and transience, it embodies „Staffs of Time“ the Vertical essence this theme: stability and change at the same time. The bamboo stalks have stood for centuries – yet rustle anew in the wind every day. This work captures exactly this tension: the structure that supports, and the movement that brings it to life.
The series „Between Light and Silence“ is an invitation not only to see but to feel the silent presence of nature. „Staffs of Time“ Within this journey, the image forms a central point of rest – a place where you can orient yourself without being held back.
Do you think that true clarity can arise without experiencing transitions?
My intention in creating „Staffs of Time“ it was to create a moment of conscious seeing – a moment when you're not simply looking at an image, but recognising yourself within the flow of time. On the pilgrimage, amidst the bamboo forests, I felt how silence wasn't empty, but filled with sound, light and movement. This work is my attempt to make this experience visible – not as a depiction, but as resonance.
I want you to pause. To breathe. To feel your gaze opening up and the space around you taking on a different quality. „Staffs of Time“ invites you to centre yourself without settling – to find orientation without constraint.
Perhaps you're looking for precisely this: a place of calm that isn't static. An atmosphere of clarity that isn't cold. A visual anchor that accompanies you without dominating. People who bring art into their lives are often looking for more than just aesthetics – they are looking for Presence. They are looking for spaces that help them find themselves again. They are looking for moments that do not pass, but endure.
„Staffs of Time“ is a work like that. It's not a decoration – it's a Experience of perception. It opens up spaces for concentration, for reflection, for conscious being in the moment. It connects you to an attitude that goes deeper than mere seeing: to mindfulness, to connectedness, to the experience of balance.
Do you think a room can truly inspire if it only looks beautiful but has no depth?
A work of art like „Staffs of Time“ changes not only the look of a room – it changes its Posture. It creates atmosphere, focuses attention and opens perception. Depending on where you place it, it unfolds different effects – always however with the same inner quality: connection, clarity and presence.
Your moment of balance and presence.
